Caroline Bysh
Caroline joined Glasgow Caledonian University in January 2024, bringing a wealth of experience after more than two decades in the Higher and Further Education sectors. She has worked in both the Scottish HE landscape (SRUC and UWS) and English (University of Reading) at Director level in the areas of External Relations, Marketing, International and Communications. Caroline also brings rich experience of a wide range of UK and international institutions as an independent consultant.
Her remit as Pro Vice Chancellor for Engagement is broad, leading strategy for our civic, political and community engagement, reputation management and strategic communications, as well as working across the Executive team functions in supporting the ways in which Glasgow Caledonian builds its identity and brings its purpose to life.
An alumnus of the University of Edinburgh (English Language) and Henley Business School (Advanced Management), Caroline sits on a number of external advisory boards for companies operating in support of the sector and enjoys sharing her experience at conferences to the benefit of the sector at large. Caroline has a particular passion for supporting women into senior leadership roles.
