Sean McGovern

Sean is a degree qualified Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) since Nov 2010.

He was previously Managing Director of BAE SYSTEMS Regional Aircraft during a career spanning 39 years with BAE Systems and Airbus.

Sean set up his own consulting business Newton Aerospace Management Ltd in 2019 offering Non-Executive support and aerospace related project work.

He has previously been a board member of Ayr College and a chartered engineering assessor for his institute both on a pro bono basis.

He is currently an NED for Inter-Tec Aero Ltd based in Prestwick and Shannon as well as acting as a volunteer for the Citizens Advice Bureau in Paisley with a particular focus on Employment Law.

Sean joined GCRB as a board member in April 2024.
