Janie McCusker has been reappointed by the Scottish Government as the Chair of Glasgow Colleges' Regional Board.
The Minister for Higher Education, Further Education, Youth Employment and Training, Jamie Hepburn MSP, announced the reappointment.
Initially appointed to the role in January 2018, Janie will continue in this role for a period of two years, until 7 January 2024.
Janie said: "I am pleased to continue with my role as Chair of Glasgow Colleges' Regional Board.
"The Glasgow college region has achieved a great deal in recent years, working collaboratively to provide quality learning and teaching and deliver a curriculum to meet future skills' needs.
"We have also made significant progress in areas including student support, mental health services, widening access, inclusion and diversity and responding to the climate emergency, while more recently navigating through the challenges of the pandemic.
"We are now looking to the future of education in Glasgow. I look forward to building on what we have collectively achieved across the region to date and progressing with our future plans, with Glasgow's learners at the heart of every decision we make."
Janie is a member of the Board of Colleges Scotland and the Board of Colleges Development Network. She previously served as Chair of West Lothian College Regional Board. In March 2020, Janie was appointed as Chair of NHS Forth Valley.
